Can you remember the first time your toes touched the sand on Higgins Beach? What year was it? Who were you with? What do you remember most about that day? How many years have you been coming back to visit the beach or are you lucky enough to live close by?

Hey Mom and Dad, love this blog! I have so many memories on the beach. Apparently, the first time my toes touched the sand I was only3 days old! I can't say I remember that, but there were years of VERY SPECIAL memories on that beach :) I'll share one very soon. Have fun with this site, love it!
My best friend's family introduced me to Higgins Beach and I think the first time that I touched the sand was in a pair of "aqua shoes" - the advice was that if you planned to roam the tidal pools, you were going to need these! That is, until you got your "beach feet"....which you developed by the end of the summer - cuts, scrapes, callouses - but they were rugged enough to roam the beach barefoot!
I have so many memories of the beach that I look forward to sharing through this site.

I have fond memories of going with my children along with friends and riding in a small motor boat at the mouth of Higgins Beach picking heather. I also remember a small boat coming by us and telling us we were not allowed and our wonderful friend gave them some history of the entire area.

We love Higgins Beach and have been coming there for 2 or 3 weeks for many years. We look forward to
